Eliana Grubbs, Bremen girls basketball
The senior scored 21 points in an IHSAA semi-state semifinal win over Lapel, then 14 in a semi-state championship loss to Oak Hill Saturday, Feb. 21.
Bo Brunner, Concord boys basketball
The senior scored 29 points in a win vs. Central Noble Tuesday, Feb. 17 and 10 in a win vs. Bremen Friday, Feb. 20.
Ivan Blystiv, Concord boys swimming
The senior won individual IHSAA sectional championships Feb. 21 in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:53.47 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 56.65 seconds. He also made up one-fourth of Concord’s first-place 400-yard freestyle relay team.
Lily Maxwell, Elkhart Christian Academy girls basketball
The sophomore led the Eagles with 12 points in an IHSAA Class 1A semi-state semifinal win vs. North Miami Feb. 21.
Braedyn Foster, LaVille boys basketball
The junior dropped 17 points and hit the game-winning shot vs. Trinity Academy Feb. 17.
Andre Wells, Mishawaka Marian boys basketball
The junior scored 25 points in a win vs. South Bend Adams Feb. 20 and 14 in a win against Saint Thomas More Academy Feb. 21.
Hayden Johnson, Northridge boys basketball
The senior Saint Francis commit scored 27 points on nine 3-pointers in a win vs. Lakeland Feb. 17, then dropped 17 in a win vs. Columbia City Feb. 20.
Caleb Kreuter, Northridge boys swim and dive
The sophomore won an individual IHSAA diving sectional championship Feb. 20, and he also will compete at next week’s state finals on two of the Raiders’ relay teams.
Matthew Staples, New Prairie boys wrestling
The sophomore won his second straight IHSAA state championship Feb. 21, this year in the 165-pound weight class. Staples has never lost a high school match.
Penn boys swimming team
The Kingsmen set an IHSAA record for the most points scored in a sectional championship victory Feb. 21, winning their 24th sectional crown as sophomores Charles Christianson and Sawyer Wells, and junior Max Barnes, each set pool records.
Nick Shrewsberry, South Bend Saint Joseph boys basketball
The senior Notre Dame commit eclipsed 1,000 career points in a win vs. Goshen Feb. 17. He then scored 23 in a Northern Indiana Conference championship-clinching win vs. New Prairie Feb. 20.
