Vote: IndyStar high school girls tennis player of the year

The 2026 IHSAA girls tennis season has wrapped up which means it’s time for you to choose the player of the year.

Make your pick in the poll at the bottom of the article. The poll will close at noon on Friday, June 26.

Meredith Conklin, Silver Creek

Conklin reached the doubles state semifinals as a sophomore. With teammate KeShauna Lankford, the duo topped Lake Central’s Lyla Hurey and Katelyn Pepkowski, 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3, in the state quarterfinals. They fell to Jasper’s Adaysha Smiley and Stella Knies in the semifinals.

Gabby Hall, Carmel

Hall reached the doubles state finals with teammate Madison Littell. The pair defeated Ft. Wayne Snider’s Tatum Miguel and Hannah Henry, 6-2, 6-1, in the state semifinals before they lost in the finals to Jasper.

Hannah Henry, Fort Wayne Snider

Henry represented the Panthers in the doubles state tournament. She joined teammate Tatum Miguel to defeat Bishop Chatard seniors Aidan Mahaney and Samantha Paberzs, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, in the quarterfinals. The duo fell in the state semifinals.

Stella Knies, Jasper

Knies helped secure Jasper’s fourth-straight state win in doubles. As a sophomore, she paired with Adaysha Smiley to defeat Carmel’s senior duo of Littell and Hall in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (7-1), in the state finals.

KeShauna Lankford, Silver Creek

Lankford, a sophomore, reached the doubles state semifinals with Conklin. The duo finished with a 17-1 regular season record and went 4-1 in the postseason.

Madison Littell, Carmel

Littell was a state-runner up in doubles with Hall. The Greyhounds finished with a 13-0 regular season record and a 9-1 postseason record.

Tatum Miguel, Fort Wayne Snider

Miguel joined Henry in reaching the doubles state semifinals. The duo finished with an 18-1 regular season record before they went 6-1 in the postseason.

Brooke Ratcliff, North Central

Ratcliff was an individual state semifinalist. She won a state quarterfinals match, 6-1, 6-1, over Fort Wayne Bishop Dwinger’s Sophia Gamez. She fell in the state semifinals to Brebeuf Jesuit’s Chloe Wendowski. She went 16-3 in the regular season and 7-1 in the postseason.

Adaysha Smiley, Jasper

Smiley helped Jasper win its fourth-consecutive doubles state championship. She was a member of the 2025 state title duo before she won the 2026 state title as a senior in doubles with Knies. They finished with a 17-2 regular season record before they achieved a 9-0 run in the postseason.

Priyanka Tallamraju, Munster

Tallamraju won her first individual state title as a sophomore. She topped Greencastle’s Allison Landry in the quarterfinals, 6-2, 6-2, before she beat Penn’s Olivia Wu in the semifinals, 6-0, 6-2. She was crowned state champion with a gritty 2-1 win (6-0, 0-6, 6-0) over Brebeuf Jesuit’s Chloe Wendowski in the finals.

Chloe Wendowski, Brebeuf Jesuit

Wendowski reached the individual state finals with wins over Center Grove’s Sophia Heck and North Central’s Brooke Ratcliff. She beat Heck, 6-1, 6-1, in the quarterfinals. She then defeated Ratcliff, 2-6, 6-1, 6-2, in the semifinals.

Olivia Wu, Penn

Wu was an individual state qualifier and reached the state semifinals as a sophomore. She defeated Homestead’s Caroline Meier, 6-4, 7-5, before she lost in the semifinals to Tallamraju. She recorded an 18-1 regular season record and a 6-2 run in the postseason.
