Monique Billings is coming to the Indiana Fever on a multi-year deal, sources confirmed to IndyStar on Saturday.
Billings is an eight-year veteran forward, drafted to the Dream with the 15th pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft. She spent six years in Atlanta as a part-time starter, but was the Dream’s final cut before the 2024 season. She played on hardship contracts with Dallas and Phoenix throughout 2024 before she signed a rest-of-season contract with the Mercury that August. Then, she was selected as the sole unrestricted free agent for the Golden State Valkyries in the 2024 expansion draft.
A 6-foot-4 stretch four who can run the court, Billings played 26 games with eight starts for Golden State in 2025, averaging 7.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. She had to work through an ankle injury that kept her out all of August last season; she has since recovered, playing in the final month of the WNBA season and participating in Unrivaled and the FIBA Qualifying Tournament in early 2026.
Billings has recent history with some of Indiana’s core, too: she played with Kelsey Mitchell on Hive BC in Unrivaled, then with Caitlin Clark at the FIBA Qualifying Tournament in Puerto Rico in March. She also worked with Fever coach Stephanie White, who is an assistant on the FIBA Qualifying Tournament staff. Billings had an easy connection with Clark throughout FIBA. Her first points in a USA uniform came from an assist from Clark.

Billings won’t be as much of a factor from 3-point range, as she only shot 28% from beyond the arc, but she is elite at the rim, making 81% of her shots from 0-3 feet in 2025. She could either fill a hole for the Fever at the 4, giving them length and an ability for more transition plays, or back up Aliyah Boston at the 5.
