Transfers who came to Purdue football leave as All-Big Ten honorees

McCallister, who played four years at Washington before spending last spring at Nebraska, was named All-Big Ten second team after averaging 43.2 yards per punt and leading the Big Ten with 23 punts pinned inside the 20.

Powell, who followed coach Barry Odom and defensive coordinator Mike Scherer from UNLV, recorded 110 tackles, including 12 for loss and 5 sacks. He was named to the Big Ten’s third team. Powell and teammate Tahj Ra-El tied for the Big Ten lead in total tackles this season.

Ra-El, a safety, returner Michael Jackson III, linebacker Charles Correa, long snapper Luke Raab and kicker Spencer Porath all were honorable mention.

The Big Ten’s offensive selections will be announced on Thursday.
