Top Illinois wide receiver Quentin Burrell sets visit to a Notre Dame football camp

Notre Dame has added another participant to its Irish Invasion recruiting event, as Class of 2027 wide receiver Quentin Burrell is returning to South Bend for another visit this weekend.

The Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL) product visited Notre Dame in April after receiving an offer from the Fighting Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound four-star prospect is the second-ranked high school player in Illinois, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Burrell has a plethora of offers from major schools, such as Michigan, Penn State, Auburn, Ole Miss and Washington. He has not taken any visits in the last month-plus, but he plans to be busy visiting in June, including a camp at Ohio State. He plans to compose a list of top schools by the end of the summer, and the Irish are well-positioned to make that list.

“I think with how everybody has been around and interacting with me, I feel like Notre Dame has a pretty big shot” he said.

Burrell, who won a state championship in 2024, caught 75 passes for 1,257 yards and 18 touchdowns as a sophomore.
