The Notre Dame women see two players selected to McDonald’s AA game

While the Notre Dame women’s basketball team hasn’t been as dominant as they have been in the past few years, they’re still fighting for a berth in the NCAA Tournament, but help is on the way.

Two of the Irish’s 2026 commits will participate in the McDonald’s All-American game, viewed by many as the top high school All-Star showcase. Shooting guard Jenica Lewis and forward Jacy Abii will face-off against each other, before starting their Notre Dame careers on March 31st in Phoenix, Arizona.

Lewis is a 5-star, as the 247Sports Composite ranks her as the nation’s No. 22 overall player. The Iowa native committed to the Irish over Iowa, TCU and Oregon.

As for Abii, she’s ranked even higher, as the No. 10 player nationally. Hailing from Texas, the 6-foot, 3-inch front-court player picked the Irish over Texas, Tennessee, LSU and UCLA.

Expect both Lewis and Abii having instant impacts for Notre Dame, as the five woman class, No. 2 nationally by the 247Sports Composite, also features two other 5-stars in forward Bella Ragone, and Amari Byles. This class could be the start of another impressive stretch of Notre Dame women’s basketball.
