Jacob Stewart’s column, “Indiana Senate takes coward’s way out on redistricting,” regards the Indiana Senate’s refusal to meet and genuflect to Donald Trump’s legislative “court packing.”
Stewart seems to be more afraid of Donald Trump than he is willing to acknowledge the courage by the Senate to stand up to not only Trump but also to Gov. Mike Braun, a Trump puppet.
Since when does doing the right thing become cowardly? Other than to achieve political supremacy, there is no justification for this self-serving circus.
Stewart cites the potential wrath from the mountain and loss of funds for the state.
No amount of rationalization can justify political gerrymandering in an attempt to maintain control of a national legislative body.
Stewart should be thanking the Senate, not calling them cowards.
