Sugar Factory is gone from Indy, but its Rainbow Sliders are in freezer aisles

Miss the Rainbow Sliders from Sugar Factory? 

Although the restaurant chain, known for being lively venues for celebrations, closed its lone Indiana store in 2024, one its signature dishes could be at a local grocery store.

The sliders are among a slew of new products headed for grocery stores, some being introduced with sweepstakes and merchandise drops, like Nike sneakers.

Sugar Factory’s Rainbow Sliders now in freezers

Sugar Factory’s Rainbow Sliders are new to Jewel-Osco freezer aisles in Indiana, Illinois and Iowa and are rolling out nationally to other retailers.

They’re the first product from Sugar Factory at Home, the retail division of the restaurant brand.

The fully-cooked frozen beef sliders feature 0.8-ounce beef patties on vibrantly colored buns, are made without seed oils and are available with or without cheese.

Available in five or 10 packs, each box contains a signature rubber duck, in one of five base colors, as well as a rare limited edition, such as a Mike Tyson duck.

The introductory price is $8.99, but they’re $7.99 from May 20 to May 26.

Kool-Aid with electrolytes and sneakers 

Kool-Aid launched as the brand’s first-ever electrolyte drink mix, and its first powder without artificial dyes. 

The Kool-Aid Hydration single-serve sticks contain electrolytes and no sugar.

Rolling out to Walmart, Target and Amazon, they’re available in three flavors: Tropical Punch, Grape and Blue Raspberry Lemonade. 

Kool-Aid and Nike will release the Pink Lemonade Ja 3 in limited quantities on May 20 on the SNKRS app and at select retailers. Sign-up is open.

Ore-Ida dino and star tator tots

Ore-Ida, the brand that invented the tater tot, has added its first new tots shapes in nearly 20 years, new dinosaur and star forms.

Dino Tator Tots and Star Tater Tots are in major retailers in 28-ounce bags and in five-pound club sizes.

The star-shaped tots are debuting with limited-edition America 250 packaging to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

Kibbles ‘n Bits Char-Griller backyard cookout giveaway 

Kibbles ‘n Bits is giving shoppers the chance to win a Char-Griller Super Pro charcoal grill and cookout accessories.

The promotion is to introduce the dog food brand’s new Triple Steak Flavor, available nationwide at Walmart and other retailers.
