Severe weather possible Wednesday

A cold front will approach the region on Wednesday, sparking thunderstorms. Some of those could be severe, forecasters said.

Damaging winds are the main threat, but a few tornadoes are also possible.

The highest chances for severe storms arrive from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Tri-State in a “slight risk” area for severe weather.
