Boettcher will earn a base salary of $885,000 for the 2026 season, and that figure will increase each season, maxing out at $1.280 million in 2029, the final year of his deal.

Boettcher bolsters the depth and adds competition at linebacker. The Colts believe he can play both the MIKE and WILL positions, but with CJ Allen on the roster, Boettcher should compete for the WILL linebacker role with Akeem Davis-Gaither.
He could also be a core special teams contributor during his rookie season as well.
