It’s about time to stock up on hot dogs before Memorial Day.
And several of Oscar Mayer’s “Hot Doggers,” who drive the infamous Wienermobiles around the country, will have a chance to win a trophy full of them this week.
Six Wienermobiles will take the track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this week for the second annual Wienie 500 race.
6 Wienermobiles will compete in 2026 Wienie 500
The following Wienermobiles inspired by regional hot dogs will compete in the 2026 Wienie 500:
Wienermobiles that didn’t make the final cut include Puka Dog (Hawaii), Plain Dog, Idaho Dog, Ripper Dog (New Jersey), Sonoran Dog (Arizona) and Denver Dog.
Here’s what happened at the inaugural Wienie 500 in 2025
Last year, Chicago Dog started in the pole position. In the second of two laps, one of the Wienermobiles started smoking. At the end of the race, the Slaw Dog took the lead to win top dog.
Its driver was presented with the “Borg-Weiner Trophy” after the race.
At 2 p.m. Friday, we’ll find out whether the Slaw Dog will meat its match.

How you can stream the Wienie 500 live on Carb Day
Race fans and frankfurter fans alike can watch the 2nd Annual Wienie 500 live starting at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, on Fox and the Fox One app, which offers a free trial.
According to a Kraft-Heinz news release, viewers will be able to cast votes for the winner via Instacart. Follow the action live on Friday at IndyStar.com.
