ST. LOUIS — CJ Cox brought life back into Purdue basketball’s offense during a late first-half rally in a March Madness Round of 32 game with Miami on Sunday, March 22.
Early in the second half, though, the sophomore guard was helped off the floor with an apparent right leg injury and was questionable to return to the game, according to the CBS broadcast. Cox later rejoined Purdue’s bench, but had not returned to the court.
Cox was fouled on a fastbreak with 17:04 to go and Purdue leading Miami 45-42.
Before that, the two-year starter scored 11 points, including nine in the span of 1:37 late in the first half.
