WEST LAFAYETTE − Kyndall Hunter will join the fourth team of her career but for the first time, she’ll play for someone outside her home state.
The sixth-year guard announced on Instagram Wednesday that she’s committing to Purdue women’s basketball after one season at Houston.
Hunter becomes Purdue’s third transfer portal addition in a little more than 24 hours, joining Aysia Proctor from North Texas and Jelena Bulajic from South Florida, who both committed on Tuesday. Hunter is Purdue’s fifth transfer portal add overall.
Last season, Hunter averaged 9.2 points per game, second on the Cougars, and started 16 of 29 games she played. Her 37 made 3-pointers led the team.
Hunter previously spent two seasons at Texas A&M, where she redshirted in 2023-24 due to an injury and averaged 5.2 points per game in 26 appearances the following season. After averaging 3 points per game in 21 appearances for Texas in 2021-22, the Houston native redshirted the following season with the Longhorns before transferring to Texas A&M.
