A 31-year-old man was charged with drunken driving after a July 10 pre-dawn accident in which his pickup truck rear-ended a farm tractor west of Bloomington.
The 62-year-old man driving the tractor, Jesse Prince, was pinned inside the vehicle unable to move until first responders were able to free him.

Prince was taken by ambulance to IU Health Bloomington Hospital after the 5:40 a.m. crash on Ind. 45 at South Duncan Road, according to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office news release. The nature and seriousness of his injuries weren’t included.
“Upon arrival they (deputies) were told the 2004 black Dodge Ram rear ended the Massey Ferguson farm tractor,” the news release said.
Monroe Fire Protection District medics treated the pickup driver, Jared Hash of Bloomington, at the scene for minor injuries. He was later booked into the Monroe County Jail on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated resulting in serious injury, with a previous conviction.
Court records show that in May, Hash pleaded guilty to driving with a blood-alcohol content of .15 or more. A plea agreement dismissed a second charge, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person.
A six-month jail sentence in that case was suspended, and Hash was put on probation for one year.
