OSCEOLA — The 41st annual Osceola Music Festival is introducing a beer garden and improvements to its venue for the free, live music and family activities Friday through Sunday, Aug. 8-10.
Among the musicians, the Whistle Pigs and Parkovash will make their debuts at the festival, and Memphis Underground will close the fest on Sunday.
Artist Jeremy Parker of Wildwoods Workshop will lead a free art workshop on Saturday morning. There will also be inflatables, food-eating contests, a frog jumping contest and a Sunday church service.
Ten food trucks will serve up meals, including corn and sausage and pancake breakfasts.
It all happens at Fern Hunsberger Park, 202 N. Lamport St.
The venue offers improvements this year in available paved parking, a new, inclusive playground and paved walkways. Meanwhile, the town of Osceola is proposing transformations to the venue for a more vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors can learn more about the proposed changes at the festival.
Proceeds from the new beer garden will support future improvements to the festival grounds and community projects.
