It was a very great morning for Notre Dame football, as it landed 5-star offensive tackle Olu Olubabola in the 2027 class.
The group now has fifteen total commits, and its ranked as one of the best in the country. At this moment, only Oklahoma, Texas A&M and UCLA have better classes.
Following Olubabola’s verbal, the Irish jumped USC to take the No. 4 spot in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, and don’t look like they’re going to slow down anytime soon. Multiple top targets have scheduled their commitments this month, as Notre Dame is making a move to overtake the Sooners for the top overall class.
This year has a much different feel to it, as the Irish have previously been at the top of the rankings only to fall as other teams filled their classes. Of the top four, only the Aggies have less verbals, which means there’s room for Notre Dame to move up.
That very well could be the case, as more top prospect could be joining the already impressive group.
