Anytime you have a top prospect in your backyard, you have to go after them, and that is the case for Notre Dame football and the 2027 recruiting class.
The group is growing, now up to five commitments, and that number could be getting bigger any day now. One of the targets that the Irish have started to focus their efforts on is in-state 5-star Monshun Sales. It looks like it’s going Notre Dame’s way, as they hosted him on a visit this past weekend, and were included on his recently released top-12 schools.
The Irish have a huge battle in front of them for the nation’s No. 12 overall player in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Also included in the 6-foot, 5-inch and 195-pound receiver list are schools like Ohio State, LSU, Oregon, Alabama, Michigan and others.
Sales is an elite prospect, one that Marcus Freeman would love to see stay at home and play for the Irish.
