Daleville girls cross country runner Kynlie Keffer has been voted The Star Press East Central Indiana high school Athlete of the Week for Oct. 13-18, brought to you by IU Health.
Keffer was the top girls runner from East Central Indiana in Sectional 10 at Indiana Wesleyan University, finishing as the individual sectional runner-up with a time of 20:57.4 and qualifying for regional as an individual.
Keffer received 7,948 out of 17,616 votes cast (45.12%). This week’s runner-up is Marin Hopkins of Wapahani volleyball, who gathered 4,046 votes (22.97%).
Students in all varsity sports are eligible to be nominated and can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport. Athletes from one school cannot win more than three consecutive weeks.
