Bloomington will have another “No Kings” rally on Saturday, March 28, joining more than 40 protests across Indiana and 2,000 protests across the U.S.
Hosted by the Bloomington 50501 chapter, the March 28 rally marks the third major “No Kings” mobilization since Donald Trump’s election. Organizers hope it will be the “largest nonviolent protest in American history.”

Bloomington’s “No Kings” rally will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 on the Monroe County courthouse lawn.
What’s planned for the Bloomington ‘No Kings’ rally?
Previous “No Kings” rallies in Bloomington have seen hundreds of people pack the courthouse square, donning signs and engaging in chants and protest songs.
Bloomington’s 50501 chapter says the event will feature speeches from organizers with the Indiana University Graduate Workers Coalition, Exodus Refugee Immigration Bloomington, and more. There will also be live musical performances from singer-songwriter Carrie Newcomer and informational tables from civic organizations like the League of Women Voters and Indiana Jewish Voice for Peace.
The rally will also serve as a food drive for Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable canned goods.
