A larger field of 104 local golfers will tee off in the 30th annual Medalist Tournament on Saturday at Rolling Meadows, with the final round at Cascades on Sunday.
Action starts on Saturday at 7:45 a.m. and Sunday at 7:20. Rolling Meadows will be ready to go after the course confirmed it escaped damage from Wednesday’s storms.
The headliners in the men’s division are four-time defending Medalist and four-time defending City Tournament champion Jason Bannister; past Medalist and city champion Chris Williams; Rolling Meadows course record holder Nick Gillaspy; professional Jon Bohnencamp and former city champs Anthony Robertson and Chad Stoute.
Matt Till is the defending champ in the Senior division, which also includes past winners Tim Gillespie, Joe Newman and Jim Alexander and defending City champ Chad Osborne.
The Super Senior defending champ is Gary Walls, who faces a hall-of-fame field that includes Larry Johnson, Dan Neubecker, Ike Martin, Don Chastain, Roger Curry, Mike Vernon, Bob Hasty, Gary EuDaly, Steve Hinds and Rory Brown.
Six-time champ Peggy Taylor is in the women’s field that will play just one round on Sunday and features North golfers Mira Bruce, Kate Johnson, Sadie Woodring, and Annika Lowinger.
Tee times on Sunday will begin with the Super Seniors at 7:20, women at 8:30, seniors at 8:50 and men’s at 10:10
