LAFAYETTE, IN — Lafayette police said there is no threat to the public after a man was found dead outside a pickup truck in Lafayette.
Lafayette police Sgt. Shawn Verma said officers responded to a call about 1:15 Tuesday to the parking lot at 2705 Concord Road, where they found an adult male dead.
A small-caliber handgun was found at the scene with the victim, Verma said. The victim was found outside the truck on the driver’s side. Verma said police are investigating the death as a possible suicide.
The Tippecanoe County coroner’s office will release the man’s name and the official manner of death after an investigation, Verma said.
