An Indianapolis neighborhood is getting its Walmart back this week following a remodel.
The Walmart Neighborhood Market at 5550 E. Fall Creek Parkway North Drive will have a ribbon-cutting on June 5 to celebrate its reopening.
Closed since May 11 for an update, the store is among a dozen Indiana shops being remodeled in 2026. Arkansas-based Walmart is updating more than 650 Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets across the country this year.
Most of the remodels are completed while the locations remain open; but the Fall Creek store is one of a small number of Neighborhood Markets where the Arkansas-based retailer is testing a rapid remodel program, the company said.

The ribbon cutting begins June 5 at 10 a.m., when several long-term associates will be honored and Walmart will present donations to local organizations.
Vendors, including Coca-Cola, 7UP, and Mission, will offer giveaways and samples at the celebration.
