Indiana football gets commitment from 3-star running back

Indiana football added another chip to its 2027 recruiting count Wednesday with its second commitment of the day.

Da’Jon Talley-Rhodes committed to the Hoosiers, per On3. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound running back chose IU over Boston College, Penn State, Virginia Tech and others.

Talley-Rhodes joins defensive lineman Reinaldo Perez as commitments Wednesday, and continues the momentum after Curt Cignetti landed his highest-ranked recruit of the class to date in four-star defensive end Myles Smith, of Farmington, Michigan. Perez was a win out of Columbus, Ohio, and Talley-Rhodes hails from Washington D.C.

Talley-Rhodes visited Bloomington over the weekend, he shared on social media.

He played at St. John’s College Prep and was rated a three-star recruit by Rivals industry rankings, No. 403 nationally and 32nd running back. Rivals’ own rankings have him as a four-star recruit and No. 25 running back, but other services lead to a lower composite rating.
