Indiana Fever shorthanded for final game of road trip in Chicago, injury report shows

CHICAGO — The Indiana Fever will be shorthanded for the final leg of their five-game road trip.

Aliyah Boston was ruled out for Sunday’s game, the second of a back-to-back, with a right lower leg injury. This doesn’t necessarily mean any new injury issues for Boston; she has not played in both games of a back-to-back this season as she works through a nagging injury she suffered in Unrivaled in February.

Boston also sat out the Fever’s game against Los Angeles on July 8 and against Seattle on July 17 to avoid playing both games of a back-to-back.

Myisha Hines-Allen, who left the Fever’s game against New York on Saturday with a minute left due to a shoulder injury, is questionable for Sunday. Indiana has not specified the extent of Hines-Allen’s injury, but being questionable just one day later is a good sign that she avoided long-term injury.

Caitlin Clark is probable (back), as always. Clark did not play in both games of the Fever’s first back-to-back on July 8-9, but did play both on July 17-18.
