Indiana Fever have 3 representatives heading to Germany for FIBA World Cup

The Indiana Fever will have three representatives at the FIBA World Cup in Germany next month.

In addition to coach Stephanie White, who was announced as an assistant on Kara Lawson’s World Cup staff in May, both Fever guard Caitlin Clark and center Aliyah Boston have been named to the 12-player roster. USA Basketball managing director Sue Bird announced the roster on the TODAY show on Thursday morning.

Both Boston and Clark have experience with the USA Senior National Team, but this will be their first time on a full-fledged World Cup or Olympic roster.

Boston has been attending senior national team camps since she joined the WNBA in 2023, and she was a part of the February 2024 Olympic Qualifying roster for games in Belgium, but she was not named to the final Olympic roster for the 2024 Paris games. Boston also attended the senior national team camp in North Carolina in December 2025 and was named to the 2026 FIBA World Cup Qualifying roster for games in Puerto Rico in March, but she had to pull out because of a leg injury.

Clark was another player considered for the 2024 Paris Olympics, but she ultimately did not get a spot — a decision that was seen as controversial at the time. Following that, Clark attended the senior national team camp in December 2025 and was the MVP of the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament in Puerto Rico in March.

Now, Boston and Clark will have their opportunity to make a mark on Team USA. The tournament will run from Sept. 4-13 in Berlin, Germany, and Team USA will play six games in that timeframe.

The full roster includes Clark, Boston, Paige Bueckers, Napheesa Collier, Kahleah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Rhyne Howard, Kelsey Plum, Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young.
