Sneakers for Santa has become one of Indiana’s best high school girls basketball in-season events.
The 2026 edition is no exception.
Here is the schedule for this year’s festivities.
2026 Sneakers for Santa schedule
Sat., Nov. 21 at Brownsburg
Greenfield-Central vs. Brownsburg, noon
The first match-up of the day showcases Brownsburg’s Quinn Sowder, a highly recruited 6-2 incoming freshman forward, vs. Riley Schellhammer, the Greenfield-Central senior guard who should be fully eligible this season after transferring from Lawrence Central midway through the 2025-26 season.
Bellmont vs. Carmel, 1:30 p.m.
If this is one of your mid-afternoon games, you know it’s going to be a great day of basketball. Bellmont returns virtually everyone from its Class 3A state championship team, including Bleke twins, Ashley and Marianne. The fast-rising Greyhounds counter with a youthful — but experienced and very talented — lineup that will be bolstered by the addition of a few out-of-area transfers, plus the arrival of freshman Bryce Webster.
Homestead vs. East Central, 3 p.m.
Two top-of-the-line guards square off with Homestead 2028 prospect Delaney Noll matching up with East Central 2027 recruit Natalie Stenger. There figures to be a good battle in the paint, as well, with Homestead’s Suzy Prego and East Central’s Lilly Maple among the notable bigs expected to be involved.
Crown Point vs. Franklin Central, 5 p.m.
Franklin Central boasts one of the state’s best and deepest 2027 classes led by Payton DuVall, Ashlee Baker and Aniya Doughty. They’ll be aided by the expected return of point guard Riley Huotari. The Flashes are paired against a Bulldogs bunch that returns all its major contributors from last year’s 23-win regional champion squad, most notably leading scorers Ava Richie and Ivy Henderson.
Eastern Hancock vs. Plainfield, 6:30 p.m.
The big headline here: Kenzie Koch (Eastern Hancock) vs. Hannah Menser (Plainfield). The 2027 Ball State commits are both strong Indiana All-Star candidates (Menser should find herself in the Miss Basketball conversation) and capable of lighting up a scoreboard in a hurry.
Fort Wayne Snider vs. Pendleton Heights, 8 p.m.
Adah Hupfer had a couple reinforcements transfer in during the offseason, including 2028 standout Ella Burleson. That adds further spark to an already talented regional-championship lineup, and sets the stage for a promising finale vs. Fort Wayne Snider, which brings a prolific lineup headlined by the state’s No. 1 2028 prospect in Janaya Cooper.
