Indiana basketball will head down to Evansville for preseason exhibition

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball has added a preseason game against Western Kentucky at the Ford Center in Evansville on Oct. 25, 2026, at 4 p.m. to its 2026-27 schedule. The multi-use arena in Evansville has a capacity of 11,000 fans.

The announcement gives IU a second exhibition game for this season in addition to the matchup it finalized for Oct. 18 against North Carolina in downtown Indianapolis.

Indiana basketball still hasn’t announced its full non-conference schedule for 2026-27, but the Hoosiers’ known matchups include neutral-site games against Kentucky (Lucas Oil Stadium) and Syracuse (Gainbridge Fieldhouse), along with games at Assembly Hall against Eastern Illinois, Bellarmine and Bowling Green.

Fans will get their first look at the Hoosiers’ new-look roster when the team travels to Peru later this summer to take part in the FISU America Games from July 20 to Aug. 1.
