Congratulations to Guerin Catholic’s Gia Crishon on being voted Player of the Week for March 31-April 4! Crishon finished a home run shy of the cycle in her varsity debut, posting a 3-for-4 performance vs. Beech Grove that included a single, a double and a triple, and contributed an RBI to the 6-5 win.
Here were the top performers from the past week.
Alaina Allyn, Mt. Vernon
The senior pitched an eight-inning, three-hit shutout of Evansville North, striking out 17 batters and allowing only three hits in the 1-0 win. She also collected a hit and registered three fielding assists. Allyn posted matching 3-for-4 performances against Boonville and Washington. She had a run scored against the former and an RBI and thre runs scored vs. the latter.
Ava Augustinovicz, Guerin Catholic
The sophomore pitched two games, striking out 21 over 10.2 innings. She also went 7-for-11 at the plate across three games with a couple RBIs and a run scored.
Baleigh Fish, Columbus East
Fish went 8-for-12 with a couple doubles and five walks last week. She had a career-high five hits against Brownstown Central.
Ellie Goddard, Carmel
Godard went 4-for-4 with a double in a 14-4 win over Wood Memorial. She drove in four RBIs and scored three runs in that one, then came back the next day and ripped a two-RBI triple in a 14-3 win over Reitz.
Brooklyn Hagerty, Logansport
The Texas-bound junior no-hit Tecumseh with 14 strikeouts and a HBP. She also delivered a two-RIB double. Hagerty struck out 12 and allowed only one run on three hits against Daviess County and pitched 2.2 innings of one-hit ball against Henderson County. She finished the weekend batting .300 with a homer and seven RBIs.
Julia Harris, Austin
The sophomore marched the Eagles back from an early 6-0 deficit against New Washington, homering twice and driving in seven runs as part of a 3-for-5, four-run performance at the dish. She finished 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored in a 29-14 win over Oldenburg Academy.
Ali Hassler, Greencastle
The senior had nine hits, seven RBIs, a run scored and two steals across four games last week. She also accumulated 40 strikeouts and allowed only two earned runs across 18.2 innings pitched.
Jordyn Hazelwood, Cathedral
The sophomore standout went 12-for-20 amidst a 4-1 week for the Irish, scoring seven runs. She also turned a couple double plays, logged 12 putouts and notched four assists in the field.
Lilly Heath, Avon
Heath batted .524 with three doubles, a triple and seven RBIs. She drew two walks and did not strike out.
Baylee Huth, Fort Wayne Northrop
Huth homered three times in four at-bats and drove in six RBIs in a 14-8 win over Heritage.
Lexi Iwema, Lake Central
The senior totaled 14 hits (three doubles, six homers) and 20 RBIs across six blowout wins for the Indians.
Frankie Jackson, Fishers
The junior pitched a five-inning no-hitter vs. North Posey. She also allowed only two unearned runs on two hits with a strikeout in four innings of work against Castle.
Jalyn Jordan, Beech Grove
Jordan batted .583 with seven hits, including two doubles. She drove in three RBIs and scored a run herself. Her week included a 3-for-3 performance vs. Martinsville.
Bralynn Leazier, Columbia City
Leazier went 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored in a 9-5 win over FW Concordia Lutheran.
Brynn Meyer, Center Grove
Meyer collected four hits, drove in six runs and scored three times herself in a 16-5 win over Zionsville. She homered twice in the victory, and had additional hits against both Franklin Central and Jennings County.
Norah Pierce, Mt. Vernon
Pierce went 4-for-4 with a run scored against Zionsville, then notched an RBI double and came around to score against Franklin Central.
Annabelle Richter, Franklin
Richter batted .455 on the week and pitched 13 innings, striking out 15 for the Grizzly Cubs.
Alexis Rogers, Shelbyville
Rogers homered twice and collected eight hits on a .571 average. She also doubled and tripled to compile a 1.214 slugging percentage. Rogers drove in five runs, scored six herself and drew a walk.
Olivia Schultheis, Homestead
Schultheis went 7-for-11 with six doubles and eight RBIs across a 2-1 week for the Spartans.
Macy Stroud, Perry Meridian
Big week for Stroud, who went 7-for-10 in three games. She had two hits and two runs scored in a win over Warren Central, three hits (one double), an RBI and three runs in game one vs. Decatur Central and a triple, a single, a run and an RBI in game two against the Hawks. Stroud also stole three bases.
Audrey Seiler, Tecumseh
Seiler struck out 14 in an eight-inning loss to Hamilton Southeastern, struck out 10 against Floyd Central and pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief against Logansport with four strikeouts.
Althea Tellas, Rushville
The freshman went hitless against Union County, but collected three hits (one triple), three runs and three RBIs in an 18-15 win over New Castle and notched another hit against Greenfield-Central. She also stole a base and logged 3.1 innings pitched against New Castle, striking out five and allowing two unearned runs on four hits.
Kierra Thacker, Union City
Thacker struck out 12 in 4.1 innings of work against Bradford, allowing a couple unearned runs on two hits. She also struck out three against Monroe Central.
Adalyn Willis, Eastern Hancock
The freshman made her varsity debut with two doubles, a single, two RBIs and a couple runs vs. Anderson, then went 4-for-5 with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored against Triton Central.
Kaitlyn Whitlock, Silver Creek
Whitlock batted .800 and did not strike out in three games this week. Her eight hits included a home run and resulted in eight runs scored. She also stole eight bases.
Kristen Wineinger, Greenfield-Central
Wineinger hit for the cycle as part of a 4-for-4 performance in a 13-3 win over Franklin Central. She also had three hits against Triton Central and Rushville (four RBIs) and a couple hits, three RBIs and four runs scored vs. Madison-Grant.
Camryn Wolfe, Monrovia
Wolfe led Monrovia to an 8-7 win over Indian Creek in her season debut, clocking four hits, driving in one run and scoring twice herself. She also stole a bag and converted three assists and a couple putouts on six chances in the field.
