EVANSVILLE — The city has quite a few ways to celebrate Memorial Day this year in Evansville.
Here’s what to know.
Memorial Day Run
May 25, 8 a.m., Garvin Park, 1600 N. Main St.
This event will host a 5K run or walk, 10K run or walk and a kid’s fun run. Additional registration information can be found online.

May 25, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery, 1800 St. George Road.
The service will be held rain or shine. In the case of rain, the event will move inside the chapel. The names of veterans buried at Sunset Cemetery in the past year will be read as part of the ceremony.
Locust Hill Cemetery and Arboretum
May 25, 10 a.m. at Locust Hill Cemetery and Arboretum, 3800 Kratzville Road.
This annual memorial service will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery.
Oak Hill Cemetery and Arboretum
May 25, 11 a.m., Oak Hill Cemetery and Arboretum, 1499 E. Columbia St.
The service will be held on the Veterans Plaza. In case of rain, the service will move inside Chapel One.
