The 2025-2026 IHSAA girls wrestling season featured electrifying athletes who consistently demonstrated resolve and an unparalleled hunger to showcase why their pastime is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. With the season complete, meet this year’s Central Indiana girls wrestling Super Team.
First Team
Kaitlynn Fouty, Whiteland, 100
Fouty became the first individual state champion at Whiteland when she captured the title at 100 this season. Fouty made history while battling a knee injury. The Whiteland star is the 10th-ranked wrestler in the nation at 100 after competing her sophomore campaign 27-0.
Ella Neibert, Indian Creek, 105
The Indian Creek sophomore posted a 30-0 record on the year and won her second straight state title at 105 this season. Despite dealing with anxiety, Neibert continually proved she was ranked No. 1 in Indiana at 105 throughout her second season.
Elizabeth Dowty, Indian Creek, 110
Dowty secured the state title at 110 in her final year as a Brave. The Indian Creek senior also placed second at sectionals and attained a regional championship this season. Dowty went 20-2 on the year.
Kendall Moe, Cathedral, 115
The Cathedral senior captured her fourth straight state title and second straight IHSAA girls wrestling state championship in 2026. In her first year at Cathedral, Moe posted a 37-0 record and won the state title at 115. Moe is 69-0 since the first IHSAA-sanctioned girls wrestling season in 2024.
Mikayla Perkins, Whiteland, 120
Perkins said she was “disappointed” after placing fifth at state last year. She used it as motivation and it paid off. The Whiteland sophomore won her first state title at 120 this season and grappled her way to an exceptional 40-1 record.
Kahlyn Fouty, Whiteland, 125
An aggressive 125-pound grappler, Kahlyn won a sectional title, placed third at regionals and finished sixth at state. The Whiteland sophomore registered a 31-6 record this year.
Marli Woods, Whiteland, 130
Woods was the runner-up at sectional and regionals last season. This year, she claimed both titles at 130 before placing third at state. The sophomore had a 39-7 record this season and helped Whiteland capture a team state title with 99.5 points, 21 more than second-place Crown Point.
Cadence Williams, Mooresville, 135
Williams placed third at state at 135 this season and will have one more year to capture the ultimate prize. The Mooresville junior registered a 30-4 record this season. Williams’ first eight wins in January resulted in a sectional and regional championship.
Maddie Marsh, Pendleton Heights, 140
The Pendleton Heights junior won the state championship at 140 despite battling an elbow injury earlier in the season and produced a perfect 23-0 year. Marsh completed the treble in 2026, winning a sectional and regional title to go with her first place medal from state.
Caitlynn Dibbern, Beech Grove, 145
Dibbern won the sectional title at 145 in early January. The Beech Grove sophomore also earned a regional title. Dibbern continued to dominate at state. She placed third and picked up only her second loss of the season. Dibbern had a 35-2 record this year.
Marin Wiggington, Whiteland, 155
One of two juniors on coach Justin Cooper’s state championship-winning team, Wiggington earned a sectional title and registered a 32-9 record this season. Wiggington finished second at regionals and sixth at state.
Eleanor Robertson, Franklin, 170
The Franklin sophomore won a sectional title and placed sixth at state at 170, the highest position among indy-area wrestlers. Robertson placed second at regionals. She finished the season 36-3.
Claira Gramlin, Lebanon, 190
Gramlin closed her final year at Lebanon with a trip to the state final at 190, an impressive feat for a grappler who jumped two weight classes this season. Although Gramlin failed to defeat Harrison West Lafayette senior Erin Cauble, her runner-up performance was her best at state. The senior finished the season 26-5.
Racheal Adolphe, North Central, 235
Adolphe won her second straight sectional and regional titles this season. The North Central sophomore is a force to be reckoned with at 235. Adolphe was 1:12 away from securing a second state title before a third-round pin ended her hopes to repeat. Adolphe often cruised past opponents throughout the year and finished the season 25-2.
Second Team
Aaliyah Brown, Center Grove, 100
Brown went 33-3 in her final year competing at Center Grove. The Trojan senior ended her high school career on a high note. Brown won a regional title and claimed a runner-up medal at state at 100.
Jaydis Sordelet, Franklin Central, 105
Sordelet didn’t compete at state last year, according to USA Bracketing. This season, Sordelet earned sectional and regional championships en route to a podium finish at state at 105. The Franklin Central junior placed fifth at state and finished the year 32-3.
Lila Epstein, Brebeuf, 110
Brebeuf only had one representative at state this season: 110-pounder Lila Epstein. Even though the sophomore lost in the opening round, her drive was on full display this season. Epstein failed to place at state last year and placed fourth at sectionals. This year, she won a sectional title and grappled her way to a 28-9 record.
Kaydie Epley, Mooresville, 115
The Mooresville junior finished third at state at 115 and only had three losses all season. Epley also won sectional and regional titles in 2026 and, barring injury, should advance to the state final in her final year of high school. The three-sport athlete (wrestling, track and soccer) finished the season with a 32-3 record and as the third-ranked wrestler at 115 in Indiana.
Khloe Weber, Mooresville, 120
Weber was a problem for opponents this year. Weber entered the state tournament with only one loss on the year. The Mooresville freshman finished the season with a sectional title and a 26-3 record. Weber placed third at regionals, and although she failed to advance past the first round at state, Weber proved she’ll continue to wreak havoc as she gains experience.
Grace Vandergrift, Lawrence North, 125
The Lady Wildcat produced a 28-9 record this season and finished second at sectionals and regionals, an improvement upon last year, in which Vandergrift didn’t qualify for state. Vandergrift was only one of three Indy-area wrestlers to compete at state at 125. Vandergrift will attend Heidelberg University next year, where she plans to continue wrestling.
Paige Stires, Lapel, 130
Stires won a sectional title at 130 and finished second at regionals this season. The Lapel senior went 14-4 on the year.
June Wagner-Gilbert, New Palestine, 135
The New Palestine junior competed at 130 last season and finished fourth at state. She decided to go up a weight class and compete at 135 this year and was successful in her new weight class. Wagner-Gilbert placed fifth at state, went 36-4 and swept through her opponents at sectionals and regionals to capture two first-place medals in 2026.
Jazlinn Diaz-Avalos, Franklin, 140
The Franklin senior hopes to be a marine, a career fitting for three-time state finalist. Diaz-Avalos finished the year 35-1, with her only loss coming in the state final at 140. Diaz-Avalos capped her high school career with a sectional and regional championship.
Daniela Ramirez-Zarate, Carmel, 145
The reigning regional runner-up at 145 was unable to wrestle her freshman year after suffering a meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament injury. Ramirez-Zarate had her second year derailed five matches into the season with a stress fracture in the same knee. The Carmel senior remained committed to wrestling, and her determination paid off. Ramirez-Zarate placed first at sectionals, seventh at state as Carmel’s lone representative and finished the year with a 23-4 record.
Lilyana Romero, Franklin, 155
Romero was the only of four 155-pound Indy-area wrestler to place at state. The Franklin junior finished eighth at 155. Romero posted a 26-17 record on the year. She placed second at sectionals and third at regionals.

Zoie Gray, Triton Central, 190
Gray recorded 30 wins during the 2025-2026 season. The Triton Central junior climbed the podium steps at state after finishing eighth at 190. Gray, who only lost three matches during the year, captured a sectional and regional title this season.
Jayleigh Holler, Franklin Central, 235
The Franklin Central junior placed second at sectionals and third at regionals, a slot higher than the last season. But the biggest testament to Holler’s development is her performance at state, where she placed third after failing to place last year. Holler finished the season 31-9.
Third Team
Claire May, Roncalli, 100
Claire May leaves Roncalli as a Royals wrestling legend. May placed in the top 5 at state (third in 2026 and fifth in 2025) the past two years. May’s ranked second in the state at 100 and capped her senior year 32-2 and with a sectional title. May usually celebrates a win with a Jimmy John’s Turkey Tom. She’s earned a year’s worth.
Dominika Zarate, Mt. Vernon (Fortville), 105
The senior Marauder finished eighth at state and hoisted a sectional title during the 2026 girls wrestling season. Zarate registered 26 wins and only suffered eight losses this year.
Victoria Zelaya, North Central, 110
Zelaya overcame injury this season to secure a sectional title and place second in regionals. Attaining such success despite an injury-plagued season is already an immense reflection of Zelaya’s character, but doing so after failing to advance beyond sectionals last year speaks even more volumes. Zelaya persevered through physical and mental hurdles to secure a 10-2 record on the year and a spot at state.
Moriah Morphet, Whiteland, 115
Morphet had a remarkable freshman campaign, finishing the year 31-5. The Whiteland star wrestler won a sectional title and helped the Warriors capture a team title in each round of the state tournament. Morphet placed second in regionals and second at state at 115.
Auna McCarty, Beech Grove, 120
The Beech Grove junior finished the season ranked fifth in the state at 120. McCarty won her second straight sectional title this season. McCarty posted a 30-6 record this year.
Ariana Quezada, Plainfield, 125
Quezada showcased her resilience this season. The Plainfield junior didn’t qualify for state last season, but a second place finish in sectionals and a third place outing in regionals secured her spot at state. Although she lost in the first round, Quezada’s 15-7 season was a testament to the grit these girls possess.
Arynn Garrard, Cathedral, 130
Garrard advanced to state and earned a podium spot with a seventh-place finish at 130 in her first season wrestling. The senior, who also plays flag football and basketball for the Fighting Irish, is a pure athlete. Garrard secured a sectional title, finished third in regionals and capped her lone wrestling season 27-14.
Dayonna Dyson, Franklin Central, 135
The Franklin Central junior helped the Flashes finish 11th at state out of 78 teams. En route to placing eighth at state at 135, Dyson won a sectional title and finished second in regionals. Dyson registered a 33-8 record in her third season.
Madeline Thompson, Franklin Central, 140
Thompson earned a sectional title this season at 140. The Franklin Central senior placed third at regionals, capturing a slot a state, where she was upset in the first round by Wawasee senior Kenidi Nine. Nonetheless, Thompson has much to celebrate after finishing the season 36-3.
Aubrey Belser, Franklin, 145
The Franklin sophomore proved she’ll be a dominant force for the next two years, barring injury. Belser won her sectional title match in 34 seconds and placed second in regionals a week later. Belser was eliminated in the first round at state at 145, but her success this year can’t be undermined. Belser finished her second season 36-5.
Journee Wells, Warren Central, 155
The senior closed her high school wrestling chapter 26-7. Wells qualified for state after impressive outings in sectionals and regionals, where she finished as runner-up in both state tournament rounds.
Josilin Stinson, Beech Grove, 170
Stinson entered her junior year with a goal in mind: win a sectional title. She overachieved. Stinson placed third in regionals and qualified for state after failing to do so last season. Stinson finished the year 27-10.
Ashley Zepeda, Ben Davis, 190
Zepeda didn’t proceed past the first round at state, but just being present was a testament to the 190-pounder’s dedication and improvement. Zepeda finished last season 8-12 and failed to secure a spot in regionals after placing sixth in sectionals. This season, she won a sectional title and finished fourth in regionals. The senior had an 11-7 record on the year.
To’Neyse Stigler, Lawrence Central, 235
The senior capped her final high school season with a 17-10 record. Stigler qualified for state at 235, but failed to advance past the first round. However, in her first season on record, Stigler succeeded. She placed second at sectionals and regionals.
