The Monroe County Public Library Foundation, also known as Friends of the Library, is looking for individuals interested in joining their active volunteer board. Responsibilities include raising funds and doing public outreach for the Monroe County Public Library. If you love the library, and have the time and positive energy for helping, Friends of the Library would love to hear from you!

Summer volunteering at New Hope for Families

New Hope for Families is seeking several additional volunteers to fill a variety of volunteer positions this summer (May-August 2026). Available volunteer roles include Shelter Host, Administrative Host, Closing Volunteer, and Early Learning Center (ELC) Classroom Volunteer.

Cat Care Tech Volunteer

Love cats and want to make a real difference? The Ranch Cat Rescue is looking for volunteer Cat Care Techs to help keep the rescue clean, comfortable, and running smoothly for its feline residents while they wait for their furever homes. As a Cat Care Tech you will clean litter boxes, sweep, vacuum, and mop cat spaces, sanitize surfaces to keep the rescue disease-free, and make sure cats always have food and water.

Help My Sister’s Closet provide women with professional support services and tools for success by fulfilling a wish from their wish list. Wish list items include large containers of Clorox wipes and baby wipes, women’s hygiene and beauty products, and pre-packed, shelf stable snacks.
