Aari McDonald — one of many guards to help the Indiana Fever during an injury-ravaged 2025 season — will miss the rest of her Unrivaled season with “right lower extremity injury,” according to a league release.
She appeared in one game for the Breeze in the 3-on-3 league.

The 27-year-old signed a hardship contract with the Fever on June 2 in the wake of several backcourt injuries. She appeared in 20 Fever games, averaging 9.8 points and 4.7 assists, before suffering a season-ending right foot injury.

The Fever used these guards in a 2025 season that ended with a trip to the WNBA semifinals: Kelsey Mitchell, Caitlin Clark, Odyssey Sims, McDonald, Sophie Cunningham, Lexie Hull, Shey Peddy, Sydney Colson, Kyra Lambert and Bree Hall.
McDonald is an unrestricted free agent, but league business is on hold as it and the players negotiate a collective bargaining agreement.
