A former draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts will be looking for a new team following the 2026 NFL draft.
On Monday, the New Orleans Saints announced several roster moves, one of which was that the team released running back Evan Hull.
Hull, a fifth-round pick by the Colts in 2023 out of Northwestern, missed most of his rookie season with a knee injury. In 2024, he was primarily on the practice squad, but did appear in one game offensively for the Colts that year, playing just one snap against Miami in Week 7.
During the very early portion of the 2025 offseason, Hull signed with Pittsburgh, where he remained through the preseason before being let go in late August.
Hull then caught on with the Saints during the 2025 season, where he played 77 offensive snaps, carrying the ball 20 times for 49 yards. He also played 40 special teams snaps, which includes contributing as a kick returner.
Hull came to the NFL as a very experienced pass-catcher, leading all running backs during the 2022 college season in receiving yards.
