MUNCIE, IN — Muncie police are searching for a local man accused of shooting two people at a south-side home on Sunday, April 26.
At 10:18 p.m. Sunday, emergency dispatchers received a report of a shooting at a home in the 1600 block of East Second Street, Deputy Police Chief Melissa Criswell said on Monday.
Officers determined the shooting victims were a 28-year-old man and a 37-year-old female, Criswell said. They were taken to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital and were reported to be in stable condition on Monday.
A Muncie man, DeVonte Marquise Williams, 32, has been identified as a suspect in the shooting, the deputy police chief said, and is considered “armed and dangerous.”
