College basketball’s grand finale in downtown Indianapolis has announced its soundtrack.
Alternative duo Twenty One Pilots, country group Zac Brown Band and surging pop country star Megan Moroney will headline the March Madness Music Festival at American Legion Mall in downtown Indianapolis. The three-day slate of performances is part of the collection of fan events for Final Four weekend, happening April 3-6.
The NCAA has also promised a surprise additional artist to be announced later.
Entry to the March Madness Music Festival is free. The festival is split into three days: the AT&T Block Party April 3, Coca Cola Live April 4 and the Capital One JamFest finale April 5.
Each day will also feature a number of supporting acts. Lo-fi alternative artist keshi and hip-hop duo Joey Valence and Brae will join Twenty One Pilots April 3. R&B singer-songwriter Ravyn Lenae and country hip-hop fuser BRELAND will join Zac Brown Band April 4. Indie pop artist Dominic Fike will join Megan Moroney April 5.
The series of performances will take over the American Legion Mall, at 700 N. Pennsylvania St. Here’s the schedule:
Other festivities during the Final Four weekend include a Final Four Fan Fest setup at the Indiana Convention Center, open practices for the competing teams at Lucas Oil Stadium during Final Four Friday April 3 and watch parties along Georgia Street for the Tailgate Tip-Off.
Indianapolis’ last Final Four hosting gig in 2021 did not include a music festival due to the pandemic, but when the city hosted in 2015 the lineup included Imagine Dragons with Weezer and Cold War Kids, Rihanna with Passion Pit and Bleachers and this year’s Zac Brown Band with Kacey Musgraves, Lady A and Cole Swindell.
