Purdue football is bringing a familiar face around the Kozuch Performance Complex — and central Indiana high schools — back to its front office.
The Boilermakers announced Jason Simmons will return as the program’s assistant general manager. He previously served as an offensive analyst under coach Ryan Walters before an in-season promotion to offensive coordinator in 2024.
He also seved on Barry Odom’s first staff as director of high school recruiting before leaving to become dean of students at Noblesville High School.
Simmons replaces Ethan Baxter, who left for a position at Appalachian State. He will serve under general manager Brandon Lee.
Simmons coached at Ben Davis, Noblesville and Hamilton Heights. He also coached running backs at Maimi (Ohio) for one season prior to joining Walters’ first staff at Purdue.
