Acie Kirtdoll, a senior baseball player from Niles High School, finished in second with 795 votes or 29.17% of the poll. There were 21 nominees from 15 different South Bend Tribune coverage area schools; find the nominees, listed in alphabetical order first by school then by sport, below.
Corban VanVuren, Bremen baseball
The senior went 2-for-3 with four RBIs, three runs, a double and a stolen base.
Brayden Fischer, Edwardsburg baseball
The junior collected nine RBIs in three games last week, going 5-for-7 with a home run, two runs, a double and a walk.
Trevor Hilliard, Elkhart baseball
The senior pitched a five-inning perfect game vs. South Bend Riley Tuesday, striking out six batters.
Brenden Divido, Elkhart boys golf
The freshman shot a 75 Saturday, finishing first overall at the Goshen Invite and leading the Lions to a first place finish as a team.
Ava Sanders, Elkhart softball
Pitcher Sanders had a three-hitter and also had five RBIs in a five-inning 21-3 win over Goshen. She also fired a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and collected three hits of her own in a five-inning 17-0 win over NorthWood.
Rylee Drummond, Elkhart girls track
The junior broke the Lions’ program high jump record Wednesday at 5-07.
Goshen girls track 4×100 relay team: Amari Lind, Bervalie Lehman, Lainey Trenshaw and Destiny Sanchez
The foursome set a new school record in the 4×100 relay with a time of 49.62 in NLC wins over Concord and Wawasee. Their performance broke the previous school mark of 50.64 set in 2011. The quartet also helped lead Goshen to the championship of the Carmen Cripe Relays at Northridge April 18. Goshen edged Northridge 77-76 for the team title.
Alex Demaegd, Mishawaka baseball
The junior went 2-for-2 with four RBIs, a home run, two runs and a stolen base in a win vs. Buchanan Friday.
Dylan Bishop, New Prairie baseball
The senior went 3-for-3 in a win vs. South Bend Adams Tuesday, collecting four RBIs, two doubles, two runs and a stolen base. In a win vs. South Central Saturday, Bishop walked, got hit by a pitch, stole a base, and had two more RBIs.

The senior went a combined 5-for-6 in a doubleheader sweep vs. Otsego Tuesday, racking up four RBIs, four runs, two doubles, two stolen bases and a walk.
Owen Holmes, Northridge boys volleyball
The junior combined for 25 kills in three wins last week, and he also had seven kills in two losses.
Finley Miller, NorthWood baseball
The junior went a combined 5-for-8 in three wins last week, collecting five RBIs, four runs, three walks, two triples, a double and a stolen base.
Caden Kelly, Penn baseball
The senior threw a five-inning no-hitter against South Bend Washington Wednesday, striking out seven and walking just one batter.
Caitlyn Denny, Penn softball
Pitcher Denny fired a one-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 12-0 five-inning win over Mishawaka.
Plymouth girls track 4×100 relay team: Alana Allen, Hayden Shipley, Jersey Hunter and Kathryn Morison
The Pilgrims broke their own program record that they just set last week, this time finishing in 50.02 seconds Wednesday against Warsaw.
Abigail Kadar, South Bend Adams softball
Sophomore pitcher Kadar threw a three-hitter in a 3-0 NIC win over New Prairie. She also collected her 100th career strikeout in the win.
Dellancy Jenkins, South Bend Riley softball
The sophomore went 4-for-4 with six RBIs, two runs, a double and a stolen base in a win vs. Caston Monday. She hit 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss vs. Northridge Friday.
Bradford Washington, South Bend Riley boys volleyball
The junior combined for 19 kills, 16 digs, four assists and four blocks in wins vs. Benton homeschool and South Bend Washington.
Jacob Snyder, South Bend Saint Joseph baseball
The senior Ohio Northern University commit threw a one-hit, complete game shutout against Mishawaka Marian Tuesday, striking out 13 batters and walking just one.
Myla Blazejewski, South Bend Saint Joseph softball
Pitcher Blazejewski went 3-0 while throwing three complete games in NIC wins over New Prairie and Mishawaka Marian twice. She allowed one earned run and seven hits in 17 innings with 22 strikeouts. She was also 3-for-6 at the plate.
Robert Rudnicki, South Bend Washington baseball
The sophomore went 2-for-2 with four RBIs and two walks in a win vs. 21st Century Charter Friday.
