Colts sign former Indiana football WR as possible Michael Pittman replacement

INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have added a veteran wide receiver whose name should be familiar in the state of Indiana.

Indianapolis has signed former Hoosiers wideout Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, adding a veteran wide receiver with size after trading starter Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers in a move to free up salary-cap space.

Westbrook-Ikhine, 28, has spent five of his six NFL seasons in Tennessee, and he had a knack for coming up big against the Colts. Westbrook-Ikhine has scored four of his 19 career touchdowns against Indianapolis.

A deep threat in Tennessee, Westbrook-Ikhine was a bench player in Miami last season, catching 11 passes for 89 yards.
