Colts signed Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in free agency
Westbrook-Ikhine signed a one-year, $1.402 million deal to join the Colts earlier this offseason.
Recapping Nick Westbrook-Ikhine’s 2025 season
Westbrook-Ikhine had four productive seasons in Tennessee from 2021 through 2024, averaging almost 50 targets per year during that span. However, with the Dolphins in 2025, he struggled to find his footing, totaling only 11 receptions for 89 yards, per PFF.
For his career, he has caught 62% of his 225 targets, averaging 13.5 yards per catch with 19 touchdowns. Westbrook-Ikhine has been productive with the ball in his hands, picking up yards after the catch throughout his career.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
Westbrook-Ikhine seemingly has a number of wide-ranging outcomes for him with the Colts in 2026. He could secure his role as WR3 within the offense, although Ashton Dulin appears to be the front-runner right now.
The Colts could choose to go with a rotation at that third wide receiver spot that Westbrook-Ikhine could be a part of, with the matchups and in-game situations dictating who sees the field.
Or perhaps Westbrook-Ikhine simply provides depth as the fourth or fifth option at wideout, seeing occasional playing time. And while I don’t expect this to happen, his contract status does not make him a roster lock. The Colts can get out of his deal during roster cutdowns and actually save salary cap space.
