Colts defender with 'dominant' showing during recent practice

Indianapolis Colts’ third-year defensive end Laiatu Latu had a strong performance during the team’s Saturday training camp practice.

Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan wrote in his post-practice takeaways that Latu flashed, while also mentioning that defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo was pleased with his performance.

Jake Arthur of Roundtable Sports wrote that Latu was “dominant down the stretch,” as he tallied “at least three would-be sacks.”

In Year 2, Latu’s production took a big jump. He went from totaling 38 pressures as a rookie to 61 this past season, which ranked as the 15th-most among his position group. Latu also totaled 8.5 sacks.

Anarumo believes that Latu can be a double-digit sack player this season.

With there being question marks around the depth of the Colts’ defensive end unit and that position group’s ability to generate steady pressure, Latu taking another step forward in 2026 is a must.
