In Jeremy Fowler’s annual top 10 wide receiver rankings, the Indianapolis Colts’ Alec Pierce was briefly mentioned.
What makes Fowler’s rankings unique is that they are constructed with the input of 70 NFL execs, coaches, and scouts as the voters. Other elements, such as research, interviews, and film analysis by Matt Bowen, factor in as well.
With all that taken into account, Fowler then compiles the top 10, highlights a few honorable mentions, and notes which players received votes.
Pierce appeared in the ‘receiving votes’ category, meaning that of the 70 voters who put their top 10 lists together, at least one had him in the top 10.
Colts’ Alec Pierce is coming off his best season, so what’s next?
The 2025 season was Pierce’s most productive in the NFL. He surpassed 1,000 receiving yards and again led the league in average yards per catch at 21.3. He also had six touchdown catches.
While known for his home run ability, Pierce has grown as a route runner over the years, giving him more opportunities to attack the other levels of the field, while doing so in a variety of ways. This allows Pierce’s impact to be more widespread and to grow.
After signing a four-year, $114 million deal this offseason, the Colts need Pierce to continue developing into that true No. 1 option in the passing game.
