Class 4A softball state championship game postponed to Saturday

Both pitchers — Center Grove’s Riley Fuhr and Crown Point’s Paige Liezert — cruised through the first three batters they faced, with Fuhr recording two groundouts and a lineout and Liezert notching two groundouts and a strike out.

The game entered a lightning delay as the Bulldogs’ Lulu Johnston stepped to the plate, then the rains began shortly after fans exited the facility.

Tickets purchased for Friday’s game will be good for Saturday.

The 4A championship game will be followed by 2A — Andrean (21-7) vs. Tecumseh (30-2) — at 4:30 p.m. and 3A — Hanover Central (18-12) vs. Cathedral (28-2) — at 7 p.m.
