Saraga was lauded for its vast selection of Asian, Latin American, African, and Middle Eastern groceries.

“Known for its incredible variety, Saraga International Grocery combines the flavors of more than 50 countries under one roof,” the listing said. “Shoppers can explore imported spices, sauces, snacks, and frozen foods, alongside fresh produce, halal meats, live seafood, and in-store food stalls offering authentic global dishes.”

The specialty grocers on the list were nominated by a panel of experts and voted for by readers. They were chosen based on their selection of international foods, meats, and seafood, as well as their service.

About Saraga International Grocery

Saraga International Grocery was founded by John and Bong Sung, brothers who immigrated to the U.S. from South Korea. In 1994, they opened a market in Bloomington, Indiana, to accommodate shoppers from Asia, Europe, South America, and Africa before expanding the concept in Indianapolis in 2005.

Today, Saraga operates six stores in Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio, providing more than 10,000 different kinds of foods and goods.
