The Indianapolis Colts announced that they will have seven players inactive for their Week 4 matchup against the LA Rams.
On game days, teams were permitted to have 48 players active.
Two practice squad elevations for the Colts this week, in addition to those on the 53-man roster, means that seven players have to be inactive.
Colts vs. Rams Week 4 inactives
Moore (Achilles), Pierce (concussion), and Goncalves (toe) were all ruled out on Friday.
In place of Moore, we will see either Mekhi Blackmon or Mike Hilton at nickel–or some combination of the two–while AD Mitchell will take on a larger role at wide receiver without Pierce.
Dalton Tucker is in line for the start at right guard without Goncalves. Josh Sills, who was elevated from the practice squad, will provide guard depth.
Johnson is inactive for the first time this season, which means JT Tuimoloau will be available. Both Shane Steichen and Lou Anarumo have said that whether the Colts carry an extra defensive end or defensive tackle will be matchup-driven.
Mallory, Tenuta, and Leonard have each been inactive for all four games this season.
As was expected, DeForest Buckner, who was questionable, is good to go.
