3-star defensive lineman from Chicago suburbs commits to Purdue football

Purdue football landed its third commitment of another visit weekend, and beat out a Big Ten rival.

Defensive lineman Aiden Solecki, of Downers Grove South (Illinois), announced his commitment to the Boilermakers. Solecki, who is not rated by On3 but is three stars by 247Sports, held offers from Michigan State, Toledo, Northern Illinois and Miami (Ohio).

Solecki was the 16th commitment in Purdue’s 2026 recruiting class. That class ranks 45th nationally and 15th in the Big Ten per On3’s industry rankings.

Among those committing this weekend were receiver Brandon Kinsey from Miami and offensive lineman Terrell Berryhill Jr., of East St. Louis (Illinois).
