Among the many players fighting to make an NFL roster this season is Chicago Bears wide receiver Kaden Davis, who’s bounced around to different teams since 2022, including the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns.
Davis’ most significant playing time was in 2024 and 2025 with the Browns, where he was primarily a special teamer. With all the teams Davis has been on, he has not caught a pass in a regular season NFL game. Now, he is trying to change that with the Bears.
Currently, he’s the second-to-last receiver listed on Chicago’s first unofficial depth chart. However, he’s been a consistent standout during training camp, and he’s caught the attention of backup quarterback Tyson Bagent.
“It’s one of the most amazing things ever, being able to see a guy put in the work, put in the time,” Bagent said. “Especially somebody like Kaden, who obviously, without spending too much time with him, you understand how much he cares about the game and how much he cares about doing his job on the given play. Being able to see guys like that that work really hard, have success, I think that’s why we love the game, and that’s why coaches love the game too.”
Davis is one of the many players who should get some decent playing time in Chicago’s preseason games, giving him the opportunity to prove he is worthy of a roster spot whether it is with the Bears or one of the other 31 teams in the league.
