These businesses have opened or are coming soon to Northwoods Mall

PEORIA – Northwoods Mall is home to a variety of businesses – from small, local shops to nationally known brands. Visitors will find dining, home décor, clothing and more.

Over time, of course, the makeup of the mall evolves as tenants come and go.

Here’s a look at what has opened at Northwoods Mall this year and what is expected to come.

Craftology

Originally located in East Peoria, Craftology relocated to Northwoods Mall early this year.

The store features a variety of vendors, with shoppers able to browse everything from jewelry and clothing to décor and freeze-dried candy.

Thompson Custom Painted Furniture and Signs

The shop, situated on the lower level next to JCPenney, held its grand opening event on April 18 and April 19. Inside, customers can find furniture, home décor, accessories and more.

Ahead of the opening event, the business noted: “We are so excited and have been working very hard to get the store in order, furniture done and vendors in place. We hope we have enough unique items that there is something for anyone and everyone … I can hardly contain my excitement. Northwoods has been a huge blessing and huge support behind us and all we want is to succeed!”

Hours were listed as 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

BoxLunch

In late July, BoxLunch opened its doors at Northwoods Mall. The nationally known store sells clothing, accessories, gifts and other items centered around pop culture.

“We look forward to welcoming BoxLunch to the Northwoods Mall family, further enhancing the shopping experience for customers,” the mall noted ahead of the store’s opening.

Lisa at The Bricks & Company

Formerly located at The 50’s Diner, Lisa at The Bricks & Company found a new home at Northwoods Mall. The shop, which features gifts and home décor, is preparing to host its grand opening on Aug. 15.

“Shop local, support small business, and explore all the wonderful new items The Bricks has to offer,” Northwoods Mall noted.

Hours posted outside the storefront – situated in the mall food court – are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

Marble & Mahogany

Already situated on the second floor next to Bath & Body Works, used furniture store Marble & Mahogany is preparing to expand to a second unit within Northwoods Mall.

Store manager Aleesia Kimble said the upper unit will feature smaller items, while the lower-level storefront will feature larger sets. The new unit is expected to open mid to late September, she said.

“Come and see for yourself. I think we have a lot of very nice staple pieces,” Kimble said. “A lot of things kind of passed down – lot of old stories in a lot of these pieces and they’re very good quality. And they’re also very cost efficient.”

Ming Spa

Already located in Northwoods Mall, mall manager Julie Revallo said Ming Spa is working to open a second storefront next to Auntie Anne’s by early September.
