CANTON — The Canton Police Department is investigating the “suspicious death” of an unidentified male found Wednesday morning in the Fulton County city.
Police responded to a phone call around 11:30 a.m. informing them of a deceased male’s body found in a residence in the 600 block of Baxter Court, according to a release from the police posted on social media.
Canton Police, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the Fulton County Coroner and the Illinois State Police are investigating the incident, and the police department and coroner’s office will give further information later in a joint news release.
The police believe this is an “isolated incident” and that there is no immediate danger to the general public, according to the post. The Canton Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact (309) 647-5131.
