A new Dutch Bros cafe is opening this month in Rockford, with another coming to the city later this year, according to the west coast coffee chain.
The company said it plans to open locations in at least four states this summer, though it did not reveal exact dates for the June openings.
As of June 2026, the company has 1,234 U.S. locations, including six in Illinois. The state’s newest cafe opened just last month in Melrose Park.

Where is Dutch Bros opening in Rockford?
The new drive-thru is set to open up shop this month at 7103 E. State St., according to the chain’s website.
A Dutch Bros spokesperson told the Rockford Register Star another spot is also “currently in development” at 1597 W. Lane Road in nearby Loves Park. Job listings for “broistas” at the Loves Park location are already available on the chain’s website.
Ryan Fitzgerald, a partner with the real estate group developing the Loves Park property, told the Rock River Current in January that the location is expected to open by the late third quarter or early fourth quarter of the year.
Where else is Dutch Bros opening locations in Illinois?
The chain previously announced plans to open cafes in New Lenox and Buffalo Grove as well sometime this summer.
Job listings for “broistas” at 550 W. Maple St. in New Lenox and 80 McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove are currently listed on the chain’s site.
A spokesperson for the Village of Oak Park told NBC News Chicago in February the chain “is also in the process of opening a location in Oak Park” at 316 Madison St, with the development still in the “early stages” at the time.
Peoria City Councilman Alex Carmona told the Journal Star in April that a new Dutch Bros location will be built at the busy intersection of University Street and War Memorial Drive. The location is reportedly slated to open in the fall.
