Fresh off the heels of a Powerball player in Quincy winning the $1 billion jackpot, a Springfield convenience store sold a winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket.
The Lucky Day player won more than $500,000 after matching all five numbers in an Aug. 17 midday drawing, according to an Illinois Lottery press release.
Where was winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket sold?
The winning ticket was sold at a Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh located at 1025 Outer Park Drive in Springfield.
The Monday win marks the second major lottery prize sold by the retail chain in just one week, after a Hy-Vee in Quincy sold the winning Powerball ticket.
The convenience store will receive a $5,500 selling bonus (1% of the total prize amount) for selling the winning ticket.

The winning numbers were 2-7-10-33-41.
When is next Lucky Day Lotto drawing?
The game has two daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. CT, with jackpots starting at $100,000.
Tickets are available in-store, online or through the Illinois Lottery app.
Illinois Powerball winner remains anonymous
The Illinois Lottery said in the release that the jackpot winner still has yet to come forward to claim their prize.
The winners have one year from the draw date to do so.
